I’m IOAN — a portrait and headshot photographer with a documentary eye and a people-first approach.

My journey started in Romania, continued through to a long and enriching chapter in Spain, and brought me to Sydney, where I’ve been fortunate to work with a diverse range of individuals and teams. Each place has shaped not just how I see, but how I photograph.

What matters most to me is creating an experience that feels easy, relaxed, and human. I give direction when needed, keep things natural, and aim for images that feel authentic. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s something honest, something that feels like you.

Whether you’re stepping in front of the camera for the first time or the hundredth, I’ll meet you where you are. I understand every job, every project as a collaboration and I approach it with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude to get the most out of the shoot and to deliver the best image possible.
